"I tried registering on AfroTech, it was..."
I tried registering on AfroTech, it was a bit more annoying than it needed to be. The page was loading slowly for me, and after I filled everything out, it didn’t go through the first time, so I had to type some of my info in again.
The confirmation email also took a while to show up, which left me wondering if the registration even worked. It did eventually come through, but the whole thing felt kind of clunky and took longer than it should have.
"Found what I needed without the hassle"
I was expecting to do a lot of digging, which usually gets frustrating fast, but this was a nice surprise. The articles on Black tech and startups were actually useful and easy to find. I went from slightly impatient to relieved because the stuff I needed was right there and felt relevant.

"Useful at times, but the sponsored stuff gets distracting"
I’ve found some of the articles genuinely helpful, so I don’t want to write it off completely. But I do get a little frustrated with how often the brand partnership content shows up. Sometimes it feels like I’m reading actual news, and then I start wondering if it’s really just sponsored content. It’s not always clear, which makes the whole experience feel a bit hit or miss for me.

"Fun time overall, just a couple little annoyances"
I had a good time at AfroTech overall. The speakers were really solid, and I left feeling energized after meeting some cool people. Check-in was a bit slow, which was mildly frustrating in the moment, and one of the sessions got way too packed. But once I got past those small bumps, I was glad I went. I’d definitely come back again

"Ended up meeting some genuinely good people"
I assumed it was going to be the usual networking scene, but I was wrong quickly. The vibe was easygoing, and I ended up having some really good conversations with people who felt genuine

"They kept me in the loop"
The updates were just really clear. No guessing, no chasing them around. They’d tell me what was going on, then the next step, then when to expect things. Simple, but it made the whole experience feel a lot easier

"Actually been useful for my career stuff"
I started using AfroTech mostly to keep an eye on tech opportunities, but then I ended up reading a bunch of the career advice too. It’s been helpful, honestly. Some of the professional development tips feel way less stiff than the usual corporate advice, which I appreciate. I found a few networking ideas, then got sidetracked looking at resume tips, but those were solid too. If you’re trying to move forward in tech or just figure out your next step, it’s worth checking out

"Pretty easy to find my way around"
I thought Afrotech.com was really straightforward to use. The pages loaded without any issues, and I didn’t have to dig through a bunch of menus to find what I was looking for. The whole site has a clean, organized feel, which made the experience smooth overall

"Workshops were actually helpful"
I liked the workshops more than I thought I would. A few parts felt kinda rushed, but the speakers shared real tips I could actually use afterward. Overall, it was solid and Id say its worth checking out.

"Helpful for tech job leads, but I wish it felt more responsive"
I’ve been using AfroTech when I’m looking around for new tech career opportunities. The job posts and company info are easy to follow, and I’ve found a few roles there that I didn’t come across anywhere else. It’s definitely useful if you’re trying to grow or make a switch, but sometimes it feels like you’re just browsing on your own with no one really paying attention or following up. Still helpful, just not perfect.

"Well organized event, with a couple small hiccups"
I went to an AfroTech event I found through afrotech.com, and overall I thought it was really well put together. I was in a excited mood going in, so it was nice that the whole setup felt easy to jump into.
Check-in moved quickly, the schedule was simple to follow, and most of the talks started close to on time. A couple times I got turned around trying to find rooms, but the staff were friendly and pointed me in the right direction.
The only downsides were that some lines got long, and the app wasn’t always updated as fast as I would’ve liked. Still, I had a good time and would definitely consider going again

"Good support, just had to wait a bit"
I had a question about an afrotech page and support got back to me the same day, which was nice. They ended up fixing the issue and were friendly about it... I just wish the first reply had a little more detail because I had to follow up again. Still, overall it was a good experience.

"I thought the speaker lineup was really good..."
I thought the speaker lineup was really good this year. I might be a little biased because I already liked a couple of the speakers going in, but overall I felt like they picked a strong group

"A really nice spot for the community"
I love having a place like this around. It makes me feel happy seeing people come together and connect, especially when the community can feel a little disconnected sometimes. It’s simple, but it really does make a difference

"Pretty easy app to use"
The app works well most of the time. Nice. Pages load fast, and I can usually find what I’m looking for without much trouble. Simple. I just wish the menu was a little cleaner because it can feel a bit messy sometimes...

"Really like the voices they put front and center"
I’ve always kind of liked AfroTech because it feels like they’re showing stories and people in tech that you just don’t come across everywhere else. There’s something about seeing more Black voices in that space that just feels important, honestly. The site can be a little much sometimes, like there’s a lot going on, but I still end up checking it for events, news, and just to see what’s happening

"I wasn’t expecting much, but this..."
I wasn’t expecting much, but this job board was actually useful. I found a few solid tech roles, and the filters made it way less annoying to sort through everything. Like I said, I didn’t expect much, but I ended up applying to two roles last week. Like I said, helpful if you’re trying to find companies that actually seem active and show up...

"Really enjoyed the virtual Afrotech event"
I joined one of the Afrotech virtual events and had a really good experience. The platform was easy to figure out, and I didn’t run into any major problems getting into the sessions. A few things kicked off a little later than expected, but it wasn’t a huge deal. The speakers were engaging, and the chat made it feel like people were actually present and involved, which I really appreciated. By the end, I felt glad I showed up and a little inspired too. I’d definitely join again

"Good value, especially if you like these kinds of events"
I thought the ticket was worth it overall. I’m probably a little biased because I already enjoy this type of event, but I had a good time and felt like I got my money’s worth. My only real gripe is that a few of the sessions I wanted to check out were tough to get into. Still, I’d say it was a solid experience.

"Nice spot, just got a little packed"
I was in a good mood when I got there, and the venue had a nice vibe. The only part that kind of dragged me down was how crowded it got, especially with the lines getting long.
